The Workers’ Compensation Managed Health Care Plans Unit is responsible for regulating the Managed Health Care Plans (MHCP) and medical provider networks of insurance carriers, third party administrators and self-insured employers.  These plans provide managed care to West Virginia workers whose employers participate in an approved West Virginia MHCP.  Regulation of these plans includes processing new and renewal applications as well as reviewing and approving modifications to existing plans and ongoing medical provider network review.
