Question: Can I submit a hand-written statement from people who know my condition and how my injury has affected me?
Answer: West Virginia law requires that the degree of permanent impairment be determined only by use of the American Medical Associations Guides for Determining Impairment. So, statements about how you are affected by your injury have no legal weight or significance.
