Question: If you request a hearing, can you later cancel it? If so, how?
Answer: Yes, you can cancel a hearing by writing to our mailing address at least ten days before the hearing. In an emergency when you cannot give us ten days notice, you can fax a notice to us at 304-558-0540 or call us at 304-558-0852 or 304-558-1686. If you are going to cancel a hearing, you must also let the other parties and their lawyers know that you are asking that the hearing be canceled. It is much better if you notify us that you want the hearing canceled instead of just not showing up for the hearing.
