| Question: |
I recently received a Decision of Administrative Law Judge granting an award of benefits. When can I expect to receive a check? |
| Answer: |
The Office of Judges does not process benefit checks or recover overpayments. Those functions are performed by the insurance carrier or the self-insured employer. Any award made by the ALJ must be complied with in thirty (30) days unless “stayed” by a separate order by the ALJ or Board of Review. If you have not received payment within about thirty days, contact the claim administrator. |
