| Question: |
How much will an attorney charge to represent me? |
| Answer: |
Claimant attorneys charge their clients on a contingent fee basis. By law, attorneys may charge no more than 20 percent of any benefits awarded. Generally, employer attorneys negotiate an hourly rate with their clients. If you pursue litigation, you may accrue additional expenses, such as expert examination fees. |
