Formal approval must be obtained from the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner whenever an insurer wishes to be exempted from filing a CPA Audit Report. Prior to the issuance of approval of the exemption, the following must be filed with the Financial Conditions Division:
A copy of the state of domicile's approval of the CPA exemption.
Once we are in receipt of the approval from the state of domicile, we will give the request all due consideration. Upon approval, you will receive notification that the company has been granted the exemption.
