Kent Hartsog is Vice President of Operations Support for Patriot Coal Corp, a major coal producer that operates in West Virginia and western Kentucky. During his career, he has worked six years in public accounting and twenty-plus years within the coal industry, primarily for Patriot, Peabody Energy and Eastern Gas and Fuel Associates.
Mr. Hartsog earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from West VirginiaUniversity in 1980 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1982. He has worked in a variety of accounting and finance positions during his career.
Currently serves as Chairman of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce and also serves on the Boards of the Buckskin Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the ClayCenter and Leadership West Virginia.
Born in Beckley, WV, currently resides in Hurricane, WV. Married with two sons, John, who graduated in 2008 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy assigned to the Submarine service; and Matt, who is currently a 2nd class Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy.
Mr. Swanson was born in Morgantown, West Virginia and is a lifelong resident of Monongalia County. He is a Graduate of Clay-Battelle High School and Fairmont State University.
Mr. Swanson became a member of Ironworkers Local 549 in 2001. He quickly rose up the ranks to become the Business Manager/Financial Secretary/Treasurer of Local 549 in 2015. Mr. Swanson was appointed as Chairman of the Health, Pension, and Securities Funds of Local 549/550 in 2015, along with Trustee to the Great Lakes District Council of the International Ironworkers. In 2017, Mr. Swanson was appointed to the International LUDC Pension Fund as a Trustee.
Mr. Swanson is also the owner of Rt. 7 Pawn located in Pentress, West Virginia.

Paul Gilmer is the firstborn child of Rev. Dr. Paul J. Gilmer Sr. and Anna Evans Gilmer. Mr. Gilmer resides in Charleston, West Virginia and is a lifelong resident of the Kanawha Valley. He is a graduate of Dunbar High School and West Virginia State University. Mr. Gilmer is married to wife Linda Anthony Gilmer from Logan County. He is Father to six children Ryan, Charles, Shawn, Batese, Melissa and Anthony and has 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Gilmer is an army veteran.

Mr. Gilmer is a volunteer manager of youth development programming and current President of West Virginia's largest youth track and field program (Capital City Striders, Inc.). He is also the current President of West Virginia AAU and member of their National Finance Committee, as well as President of West Virginia USA Track and Field and Regional Coordinator of Youth Track & Field for five states.
Mr. Gilmer is the former Manager of Community Affairs, Triana Energy, Services Company. He also worked for Triana at Columbia Natural Resources.
Mr. Gilmer retired from IBM Corporation’s West Virginia Branch office as Administration Manager and Analyst for IBM Corporation after 25 years
In addition, Mr. Gilmer has severed as Assistant City Manager and Senior Assistant to the Mayor of the City of Charleston, and Senior Vice President of the United Way of Central West Virginia. He also served for six years as Executive Director of the Community Council of Kanawha Valley.
Mr. Gilmer’s hobby is coaching youth football for the Midwestern Big Blues on Charleston’s Westside. As a Masters level Certified USA Track & Field Official, he officiates track meets at all levels all over the country.
Mick Bates is a Physical Therapist and Small Business Owner/CEO of BODYWORKS and President of Praxis Corporation. Mr. Bates was born June 14, 1970 in Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia.
