AccessWV is a health plan created by West Virginia statute to provide health insurance to West Virginians who have been unable to find or who have been denied health insurance in the private market because of a medical condition. It also provides coverage to people who are eligible under the Federal Portability Act or under the IRS Health Coverage Tax Credit Program. The rules found on the West Virginia Offices of the Insurance Commissioner's (WVOIC) web site are provided as a public service only. Although this web site is updated on a regular basis, the WVIOC cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of the site’s contents and disclaims liability for errors and omissions in the contents. The official version of all WVOIC rules is maintained by the West Virginia Secretary of State and may be accessed through that office or through its web site. When relying upon any WVOIC rule, you are advised to obtain a copy of that rule from the office of the Secretary of State.
